Terra Firma Press is a well-appointed, light-filled, professional print studio where you can work in a wide range of processes including relief, intaglio, monotype, collagraph, and other, alternative and photographic printmaking techniques. Do you enjoy “mixing it up”? Be our guest! We embrace a contemporary interpretation of classical printmaking.
Studio Equipment & Residency Highlights:
Large or small format prints? Whatever your pleasure: TFP houses three etching presses, including a new, Dutch-made, Veenendaal press for large-format work.

Community Kitchen: Take a break to nourish & recharge in the community kitchen. Coffee & tea provided.
Private accommodation: Recently renovated, private apartment, a short distance from the studio, is included for the duration of your residency.
Dedicated time and space: Residencies range from one week to one month or more. Complete a new edition, develop a series of monoprints, explore hybrid processes, or, seek inspiration via an excursion to the acclaimed Bonnefanten Museum in Maastricht, the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, or even the Louvre in Paris. It’s your choice. Technical assistance and/or guided workshops are available for an additional fee.
Community engagement & networking opportunities: TFP is a member of the SAM community of artists in Maastricht. An important objective of the AiR residency program is engaging our local communities via exchange of ideas and techniques. Artists agree to an artist's talk, demonstration, workshop, or open studio days.

Delve into your work at the Maastricht studio, then, rest & relax at your accommodation in serene Berg en Terblijt, just outside Maastricht; the perfect balance for inspiration, reflection, and creative focus. The independent apartment accommodation is fully equipped your own private entrance, kitchen, bathroom and laundry room. There’s a busstop within a 2-minute walking distance that takes you close to the print studio, twice an hour.
